The Rolex* Datejust Turn-O-Graph ‘Thunderbird’ occupies a special place in history. This series introduced the rotating bezel which inspired similar features for the Rolex Submariner and GMT. Affectionately called the ‘Thunderbird’, these were the official pilot’s watches of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbird aerobatics squadron. This 16253 is the stainless and 18K gold version, a classy upgrade from the basic stainless model.

This Turn-O-Graph is circa 1984 and comes with a Rolex jubilee bracelet (circa 1988). The dial has been upgraded to an aftermarket diamond dial featuring a vivid red color. We’ve also replaced the original plastic acrylic crystal with a much more durable aftermarket sapphire. This improves wearability and durability.

This has been fully serviced by our watchmaker and includes a 12 month movement warranty.
