Take home a piece of history today with this vintage form of advertising. Unlike business cards, which are destine to be tossed aside or buried in a wallet for years to come, these lighters are something unique. Why chose something as temporary as cardboard to advertise when your product or business could be picked-up 20 to 40 times a day? Back in the 1950’s, this thought changed the marketing world, and advertising lighters were born. These practical pieces feature a colourful enamel logo on one side, and a slogan or address on the other; perfect for keeping your enterprise top-of-mind for whomever kept this high-tech business card in their pocket.

Nesor-Rosen is possibly the most famous company to produce advertisements on lighters. This one by them features a truck stop called “Tooley’s” located off route one in Jersey City. On the obverse side, a road sign reading “Philips 66” (the logo for an American oil company) adorns the lighter. This piece comes in it’s original box.
