The Les Paul Standard has, for the most part, been Gibson’s flagship guitar for Gibson USA’s lineup. Gibson’s Les Paul is one of the most versatile guitars ever made, playing almost every style of music you can imagine, from blues to hard rock to metal and everything in between.

This 2013 Les Paul Standard boasts a AAA-grade maple top with a beautiful Desert Burst finish. Some new features include an Asymmetrical ’60s style tapered neck companied with slimmer fretboard profile for easier slamming of the notes down low and flattens out up top for solos and slick cord bending. It’s paired with two Burstbucker Pro humbuckers with coil-tapping via the volume knobs, phase-switching via the neck tone knob and a new feature called the Pure Bypass setting on the push/pull bridge tone knob which puts the bridge pickup straight through the output and bypassing both volume & tone controls – an instant hot lead tone at the pull of a switch.
