The Sony Internet Player with Google TV redefines what you can do with your TV. Go beyond watching movies and shows with apps for games, sports, music, and more. Surf the web using the Google Chrome Browser and check your social networks or stream online video. The remote control doesn’t just change channels, it also has a full backlit keyboard for typing, a touch pad, and three-axis motion sensor for gaming.

Connect it to your TV and Internet connection (through Wi-Fi or Ethernet) and give your home theatre access to Google apps and online entertainment. Hundreds of thousands of apps are available on the Google Play store, including games, sports, news, and more; many of these apps are optimized for TV. Enjoy virtually unlimited online entertainment from sources like Netflix and YouTube. Use Picture in Picture dual mode to do a quick search or Facebook update while still watching your TV show or movie.

The re-designed remote features a large touchpad on one side, a full QWERTY keyboard on the other, and a three-axis motion sensor inside, perfect for browsing the web and playing games. It can also be used as a universal remote, so it can control all of your home theatre components, allowing you to reduce the clutter on your coffee table.

Use a compatible tablet or smartphone to “throw” a website or content from the mobile device to the TV and vice versa.
