This Double Eagle was minted in 1888 and has been graded AU-58 by PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service).  PCGS is considered one of the world’s foremost grading companies for rare and collectable coins.  According to their website the AU-58 grade means: “Full detail with only slight friction on the high points”.
