I gave gold for Iron! At least that’s what patriotic German men and women did during World War I. This iron band was a symbol of the sacrifice that they made by sending in their wedding bands to support the war effort. This band is inscribed “Gold gad ich Fur Eisen 1914 OSK” and has a 14 karat rose gold plate on the inside of the band to protect the wearer from the adverse effects of wearing iron. Size 10.
